Why Story at Work?
Story at Work tackles why story works as great communication at work, because good communication determines the quality of your relationships.
Everything you must do in business to attract and retain the right clients, team members, and partners is reliant on how well you communicate the value of why you do what you do.
We are short on attention and will shift it instantly we are no longer absorbed, making it imperative that our communication not only reaches those that need to hear it, but engages them long enough to get the key messages.
Enter story. Since the dawn of man, we’ve used story to educate, inform and entertain. But, it’s only recently that it has had a resurgence in business as people realise how effective story is as communication, providing it is told for the right reasons, to the right people.
Herein lies the conundrum for so many like you busy doing business. Where do you find the right stories? If you could find them, which ones should you tell and for what reason, How do you tell them so they gain and hold attention? What’s the point of telling them? How do you find the time to learn how?
Story at Work coaching program
This three month, hands-on coaching works to turn you into a master storyteller, and to embed complete clarity on the 5 P Pillar platform for doing excellent business—purpose, principles, people, product, & positioning. It goes further too, to identify storytelling opportunities for partnership, building your profile and pitching your worth.
With clarity on each, your stories are identified and can be told to showcase your value, to best serve the interests of others, and to uphold you as a domain expert in your field.

What others say
My eyes have been opened to the under-recognised power of story to influence and excite. It has changed the way I communicate through all means, whether this be in patient interactions, teaching, presentations, social media or grant applications. Story-power is a tool that can deeply enrich understanding and empower change; quite possibly my secret key to success! Dr Ada Cheung, The University of Melbourne
I really respect the way you go about your work, and you bring a calm, authentic energy, which I really appreciate and value. Dan Sleeman, Head of RMIT Activator Learn
Over the last 3 years I’ve watched Sandy relentlessly pursuing her purpose far beyond blogging by doing the inner work and then playing it out in the real world to see what lands. This is hard, risky, scary stuff, it’s not fun because no-one has come before to emulate. Sandy now has many strings in her bow for offering needed value to those wanting to literally get it right online where blogging is actually just a piece of the much bigger pie. She makes a lot of confident sense and has a system that works. Funny how once that clarity is achieved partnerships follow easily and what doesn’t feel right just drops away. Personally I thank my lucky stars to have Sandy’s wealth of guidance and leadership in my corner because my messaging and website would be nowhere near where it is without her. She’s a modern angel that blends wisdom & guidance with the online world. And she’s just a great human being too. And no she didn’t ask me to write this. Beth Jennings, Photographer
